Empowering Tribal Communities: Oleevia Foundation Hosts Social Development Discussion at Nadupathi

Date: January 22, 2026 Location: Palakkad

At the Oleevia Foundation, our mission has always been to bridge the gap between resources and the communities that need them most. Recently, we took a significant step forward in this journey by organizing a comprehensive Social Development Discussion at the Nadupathi Tribal Colony, located on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border.

The event was a gathering of community leaders, local authorities, and residents, all focused on a single goal: the sustainable development of the Nadupathi region.

Highlights of the Event

The session was officially inaugurated by K.T. Krishnakumar (CMD, Oleevia Foundation). In his keynote address, he emphasized the foundation’s commitment to uplifting tribal communities through practical and long-term solutions.

The meeting was chaired by Oorumooppan Ramakrishnan, a respected leader within the community. Albert, the Ward Member of Puthussery Panchayat, delivered the main speech, highlighting the specific needs of the local residents.

Key Initiatives Announced

During the discussion, K.T. Krishnakumar announced several transformative initiatives that the Oleevia Foundation will spearhead in the region:

  1. Sustainable Transportation: To address transport hurdles in the border area, the foundation plans to introduce Electric Vehicle (EV) facilities, ensuring smoother and eco-friendly commutes for the residents.
  2. Employment Opportunities: In a heart-warming gesture towards education and empowerment, the foundation has pledged to provide a job placement through the Oleevia Foundation for a student from the community who has completed their primary education.
  3. Water Security: The foundation committed to implementing projects that ensure a consistent and clean water supply reaches every household in the colony.
  4. Community Support: Forestry officials Chinnan Cheriyan and Bittu, along with team members Binish, Ranjith, and Helen, were present to offer their support.

Voices of the Community

The event also saw active participation from Oleevia Foundation CEO Ajithkumar Varma, as well as Ramakrishnan, Bindu, and Jayadevan, who spoke about the challenges and aspirations of the Nadupathi people.

This discussion wasn’t just a meeting; it was a roadmap for the future. By focusing on transportation, employment, and basic infrastructure, we are not just providing aid—we are building a foundation for self-reliance.

Stay tuned to this space for more updates on our projects at Nadupathi and beyond.
