Meaningful development must be comprehensive and inclusive. Recently, I had the honor of inaugurating a two-day seminar held at St. Mary’s College, Thrissur, focused on the challenges faced by tribal communities and their holistic development.
Collaborative Social Action
This event was a joint effort between the Oleevia Foundation and St. Mary’s College. It was inspiring to see over 300 students from various colleges come together to discuss social progress.
Highlights from the Seminar:
- Inaugural Address: I had the opportunity to share the Oleevia Foundation’s vision for tribal empowerment.
- Distinguished Guests: We were joined by respected figures including Cheruvayal Raman, Principal Dr. Meena K. Cheruvathur, and other experts committed to social equity.
- Focus on Youth: Engaging with the next generation of thinkers is vital for creating long-term solutions for our country’s larger societal problems.
True social reform requires us to step out and engage directly with the issues. The Oleevia Foundation will continue to partner with academic and social institutions to bring marginalized groups into the national mainstream.

As Reported in Deshabhimani: Based on the coverage of the seminar held on January 20, 2026.
